BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES

FINAL IMAGES

I chose these images to be my final black and white images because I wanted to explore different lighting than my colour photographs. I asked my model to stand against the soft box whilst I took the photos of her. I wanted to keep the same theme as my colour images so I didn't change her makeup, hair or clothing and just changed the lighting. The different lighting made the images look completely different than the colour images because it was a lot softer and made the skin clear and the features less harsh. I wanted to incorporate tattoos in my images and luckily my model had lovely tattoos that fitted with my theme. I didn't really need to edit my images apart from removing a couple of stray hairs that were on her face. My model has beautifully clear skin, including on her arms and hands so there was no need for me to remove anything in the images. I used the contrast tool after making my images black and white because the images looked too soft and I wanted more shadow. By making the images more contrasted, it highlighted different areas and made them darker which i liked. I was very happy with how my images turned out and love the type of lighting used.
